South Korea’s Deion Cho took top honours in 2023’s Adelaide International Classical Guitar Competition, adding to a string of prizes from prestigious competitions across Europe and the USA. He is a sought-after soloist on stages around the world and a passionate supporter of contemporary composition.
Xuefei Yang was the first-ever guitarist in China to enter a music school and is now labelled one of the top six guitarists of the last century. Known for her deft innovation, improvisatory spirit and ability to combine genres, she has expanded the vocabulary of the classical guitar.
